futurecraft.

For the most part, people in the city can definitely get away with seeming "fashionable" with just one cool outerwear piece or scarf and a pair of heels to complement their otherwise boring peacoat or trench. You could probably wear sweatpants and get away with it - and people would just assume you were wearing some hot designer "balloon-inspired" pantalones. So long as you have that statement piece.

Wasn't anyone else super jealous of Renee's (from America's Next Top Model, cycle 8) blue head scarf/wrap that would all of a sudden make her look like one classy gal/a million bucks? I've been on a hunt for something that would have a similar effect on myself.

May I have the pleasure of introducing Futurecraft Studio to my loyal readers. The brand is run by a mother/daughter team that is focused on selling what I consider to be a "real" product. And by real, I mean not mass-produced in a factory out of crappy, cheap materials. The goods that come out of Futurecraft are hand-weaved and made of sustainable yarns (bamboo and organic cottons) and luxurious yarns (silk, cashmere, and alpaca). This is admirable in a technology-ridden world where the art of man-made/man-designed/man-labored goods is lost.

Beautiful houndstooth overcoat - so much edge and completely chic. Love the dynamic, blunt cuts of the fabric. Stroll past the red ropes wearing this number.

This piece is my absolute favorite. You can portray any attitude you want with this scarf/hoodie/shawl combo - shy, sexy, fashionable, grungy - what a versatile piece! With only the help of a pair of simple aviators, you can have a splendidly comfortable, no hassle way of looking completely put together!

Price: jacket ~$500, scarf ~$200
